1. Some trans people are uncomfortable when asked about transition

Most of transgender people don't want to talk anything about their transition process. If the one you meet is willing to share its transition story with you, just be a good listener and never ask more. If you want to have a transgender dating, you should pay more attention to it.
2. Sometimes, transgender people prefer to be described with different words
One of the most important thing you should know is that use the right words when chatting with transgender people. The prefer to be called as transgender people, or trans people instead of transgender or trans. More importantly, never call them as shemale or ladyboy, they are different from each other. Using the right pronoun is also very important. When chatting with transgender women, you should use pronoun, she or her, and the pronouns of transgender men are he, his, and him. For transgender people who prefer to use special pronouns, you can ask them directly if you are not sure about their pronouns.
3. Some transgender people don't want to be treated as trans
Some transgender people try their best to make themselves look like ordinary people, because they don't want to be treated as transgender people. It is quite acceptable to me. They hope to integrate in society and accepted by everyone, so they want to liik like everyone of us. When meeting a transgender person, don't ask "are you trans?" It is impolite to do like that. However, there are some transgender people who are confident and proud of being trans. They are easier to get on with.
4. Transgender people don't want to be treated as gay
I can say all transgender people hate to be treated as gay. As everyone of us, they are normal individuls. What's more, cisgender people who ts date transgender people are also treated as gay sometimes. I cannot understand why. Here I want to mention again, transgender people and non-transgender people who trans date transgender people are not gay. Don't ask this kind of questions to trans people and other tans daters.
5. Don't treat transgender people as a special community
Trans community is a special communty in many people's eyes, it is even be isolated my many social communities. As an imortant part of LGBT commuity, transgender community is also an important part of the society, is shouldn't be treated as a special community. In order to be accepted by the society, transgender community often do their best to help other people, some of them are transgender people, while others are ordinary people. I think transgender people is an important part of the society, we should hold their hands and help them if needed.
